INWOOD, NY — The variety of people, animals, and happenings in Inwood is vast, but you still might not expect to see a tortoise named Crush walking down Dyckman Street. However, that's exactly what happened over the weekend.

Luke Paulino was out for a walk with his partner when they bumped into Crush on the corner of Nagle Avenue and Dyckman Street.

"She was very friendly and loves eating her apple, walking away, and then coming back to eat her apple again," Paulino told Patch.

The uptown tortoise is named after Crush from the movie "Finding Nemo." If anybody is unfamiliar with the animated turtle — here is a visual.
