Uptown Manhattan Gets On The Menu For NYC Restaurant Week
NYC Restaurant Week was extended through the end of February, and eight Upper Manhattan eateries are now officially taking part.

UPPER MANHATTAN, NY — The saga of Upper Manhattan and NYC Restaurant Week To Go has a new twist in the tale as eight Washington Heights and Inwood eateries are now taking part in the campaign.
It's positive news for the two neighborhoods with more than 200,000 residents and dozens, if not hundreds of restaurants.
Restaurant Week was initially supposed to exclusively take place during the last week of January, in which more than 570 restaurants across the five boroughs signed up to participate.

However, despite over 400 restaurants from Manhattan dominating the list of participating eateries, not a single one of them was from Washington Heights or Inwood.
NYC & Company announced Friday that Restaurant Week To Go was extended through Feb. 28, and reopened registration through Tuesday.

Upper Manhattan restaurant owners have responded, as eight eateries in Washington Heights and Inwood are now participating.
Here are those restaurants:
- Tubby Hook Tavern: 4964 Broadway
- Fort Washington Public House: 3938 Broadway
- Broadway Slice: 3932 Broadway
- II Sole: 233 Dyckman Street
- Dyckman Express Restaurant: 101 Dyckman Street
- Inwood Pizza: 179 Sherman Avenue
- Tryon Public House: 4740 Broadway
- Sa'tacos: 231A Dyckman Street
The participating restaurants offer select $20.21 meal options for takeout and delivery.
Data from past years show that eateries make added profit during the period due to the additional advertisement even with the discounted prices.
When the initial list of more than 570 participating eateries was released without a single one from Upper Manhattan, it left local restaurant owners, politicians, and owners feeling like they had been left out of the city initiative.
