The Word Up: Community Bookshop Libreria Comunitaria is hosting live music on Saturday for the neighborhood.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Live music and the chance for kids to learn how to play instruments is always a good thing, and a local Washington Heights bookstore is helping do precisely that on Saturday.
The Word Up: Community Bookshop Libreria Comunitaria is hosting "Music for Strings and Community" outside the bookshop at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The community bookstore is located at 2113 Amsterdam Avenue on the corner of West 165th Street in Washington Heights.
