Here's a check-in on which mayoral candidates are raising the most money in Washington Heights and Inwood.

NORTHERN MANHATTAN, NY — With a little over three weeks remaining until the primary election for the next mayor of New York City, Washington Heights and Inwood residents usually find out who their neighbors are supporting for the city's top position by looking at polls. An interactive map by the city's Campaign Finance Board shows contributions for all of this year's races, including mayor, comptroller, city council, and borough president.
The latest data shows money raised through May 17. Here's what it says about which candidates are leading in the neighborhood.

The nonprofit leader Dianne Morales and former top city lawyer Maya Wiley are nearly tied in the second position for most money raised in Washington Heights and Inwood at roughly $16,800.
Morales led the 10032 ZIP code in mayoral fundraising and Wiley led the 10034 ZIP code.
In fourth and fifth place are Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and nonprofit executive Andrew Yang, who have raised $12,435 and $9,890 in the four ZIP codes, respectively.
Adams' fourth position in the fundraising game comes despite getting substantial endorsements in the Upper Manhattan community, including early endorser Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez, and Rep. Adriano Espaillat and Assembly Member Carmen De La Rosa— who both endorsed Adams after rescinding their initial support of Stringer following accusations of sexual assault.
Meanwhile, former sanitation commissioner Kathryn Garcia, who was leading in the last major poll, has raised $8,990 in Northern Manhattan.
- Stringer: $25,181
- Morales: $16,923
- Wiley: $16,667
- Adams: $12,435
- Yang: $9,890
- Garcia: $8,890
Stringer raised nearly $10,000 of his Northern Manhattan funds in the 10033 ZIP code.
Morales, Wiley Strong In Total Donations
Breaking the data down by the total number of donations for each candidate can show a different way to measure support.
By that metric, Morales leads in Washinton Heights and Inwood, with 538 total contributions in the two neighborhoods. Trailing her in a relatively close second is Wiley, who has gotten 458 total donations.
A dropoff occurs after this with Stringer in third at 292 donations, Yang at 247, Garcia at 156, and Adams with just 50 separate donations from residents in Northern Manhattan. Adams has by far the highest average donation in the four Upper Manhattan ZIP codes of any mayoral candidate.
