5 Best Outdoor Bars in West Village to Celebrate Labor Day Weekend
The summer is coming to an end, which means you better take advantage of outdoor seating while you still can.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Labor Day weekend is the perfect time to enjoy a day off from work, kick back with your friends over some cold drinks and take in the last days of summer before the city's coldest months creep up on us.
These five outdoor Village bars are a must-visit if you're staying in the city this weekend.
1. The Crooked Knife — 232 W. 14th St.

We're partly adding this to the list because it has the coolest name of any bar in the West Village. But don't worry, it's also a nice spot to grab a drink this Labor Day weekend. Really solid menu of bar food (nachos, wings, pigs in a blanket (!)) and a bottomless brunch for $39 (unlimited Bloody Marys or mimosas) if you'd rather do the day drinking thing.
Mykel B. on Yelp said: "The back and outside are the picture of quiet, inviting get togethers. AND, there is an excellent beer list, with 5 cans (mostly unique, including WATERMELON BEER!) for $25."

2. Hudson Clearwater — 447 Hudson St.
A little more brunchy than bar, but it has a really nice garden patio, so we're putting it on the list anyway. You can make a reservation, but garden seating is for walk-ins only. So show up, sit down, and enjoy a drink.
Janet L. on Yelp said: "It was a crispy morning when we came here and we decided to dine in the garden in the back. There's a little green door from the side and once you walk in, you suddenly find yourself in your own version of the Secret Garden."
3. The Biergarten at the Standard, High Line — 848 Washington St.
This isn't exactly a secret spot or anything, but beer gardens and Labor Day really go hand-in-hand. There's table tennis, there's beer and yes, there's usually a lot of people (a ton of seats though). Still, nothing better than walking the High Line and then finishing up with a few drinks. Catch the U.S. Open there over the weekend, too.
Jennifer A. on Yelp said: "I think the Biergarten at the Standard is pretty cool. Yes, it tends to get crazy crowded, lines form and it's sometimes hard to get a seat but it's a good sign that it draws a crowd, right?"
4. Spunto — 65 Carmine St.
Outdoor pizza? Outdoor pizza. Sure, you could order delivery this weekend, but you could also sit outside with a beer and eat one of their pies with one (or two) of 40 different toppings. It's SUPER thin crust, though, as a warning.
Shaji K. on Yelp said: "As the summer winds down, have to take advantage of the outside seating in the sun as much as humanly possible. "
5. Entwine — 765 Washington St.
If you're looking for a more intimate spot, Entwine is a good choice. The small wine bar has a patio out back and 2-for-1 mimosas and Bloody Marys at brunch. What more could you possibly need? Well, just in case, they also have 20-plus wines, nine signature cocktails, and plenty of whisky, bourbon and rye.
Erin G. on Yelp said: "Finding a bar with an outdoor space that's not a rooftop or sharing the sidewalk is rare in Manhattan. After looking far and wide on Yelp for a suitable first date bar with a patio, I found this little gem in the West Village."
