GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — As New York City readies for dangerously hot temperatures, new restaurants in the neighborhood may be another option to escape the heat.
The East and West Village have a variety of new places to eat, and hopefully, beat the heat with a cool beverage over new dishes.

Red Paper Clip, 120 Christopher St.
This restaurant will merge Himaylan and Chinese flavors into seasonal American cuisine. The chef duo opened the restaurant this month after meeting at Blue Hill restaurant in Pocantico Hills, New York.

Three Owls Market & Cafe, 800 Washington St.
A cafe and market with gourmet sandwiches and rotisserie chicken opened in April in the West Village.
With European eats, Babs is slated to open this weekend, Eater reported. Some dishes include chilled soup with garlic, almonds and frozen grapes as well as grilled lobster wrapped in cedar wood, with line and cilantro butter.
A European bistro with a natural wine list from small winemakers worldwide has opened in the West Village. A happy hour is offering $10 wines 4 to 7 p.m., Easter reported.
Lamia's Fish Market, 47 Avenue B
This new Mediterranean seafood restaurant opened in June. The 175-restaurant includes a bar, raw bar and a private dining room.
