Actress Priyanka Chopra To Open Indian Restaurant In Flatiron
The TV and movie star is opening an Indian restaurant called SONA in the Flatiron District later this month.

FLATIRON DISTRICT, NY — A new Indian restaurant is set to open in Lower Manhattan's Flatiron District, and you might have heard of its owner.
The restaurant is spearheaded by Indian actress and singer Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who announced the eatery's expected opening in a recent Instagram post.
"I am thrilled to present to you SONA, a new restaurant in NYC that I poured my love for Indian food into," Chopra Jonas wrote. "SONA is the very embodiment of timeless India and the flavors I grew up with."

SONA will open at 36 East 20th Street, between Park Avenue South and Broadway, later in March.
Well-known Indian chef Hari Nayak, who operates restaurants in the United States, Middle East, and India, will head the kitchen, according to Chopra Jonas' Instagram post.

"The kitchen is helmed by the incredible Chef Hari Nayak, a masterful talent, who has created the most delicious and innovative menu, taking you on a food journey through my amazing country," Chopra's Instagram post reads.
What specifically will be on SONA's menu has not yet been announced, but we do know the restaurant will open at 35 percent capacity indoors and will also offer outdoor seating.
The Flatiron District eatery will be Chopra Jonas' first venture into the restaurant industry.
