Birthday Cake Flavor Returns To Popbar In The West Village

WEST VILLAGE, NY — The dessert spot Popbar in the West Village is bringing back its birthday cake flavor due to popular demand on Monday.

Popbar, located at 5 Carmine St. at Sixth Ave., is throwing a "birthday party" to celebrate the launch of the birthday cake topping for its hand-crafted gelato on a stick desserts.

For every Birthday Cake popGelato sold between April 15 and 21, Popbar will donate 50 cents to The Birthday Party Project, which raises money to throw birthday parties for children who are homeless or living in transitional housing.

The West Village digs hours are Sunday through Wednesday 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday 12 to 11 p.m., and Friday through Saturday 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
