Chipotle Queso Is Now A Thing, But You Can Only Get It Greenwich Village
Chipotle has queso, and you can only get it in New York City.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — Chipotle is finally serving queso, and the only place you can buy it right now is the chain's Greenwich Village test kitchen.
The queso debuted this week at the chain's new test kitchen that's open to the public, located at 504 Sixth Ave., Eater New York was first to report. The Mexican fast-casual chain has long refused to serve queso because, its leaders said previously, it would be difficult to make without added colors or preservations.
The new NYC test kitchen will feature other new menu items, including new margarita flavors and inventive salads. (Want more local news? Sign up here for free news alerts and neighborhood updates from Patch.)

Chipotle CEO Steve Ells told Eater that if new dishes were popular in the test kitchen, they could be rolled out to other cities through the U.S.
The new test kitchen, and the addition of the oft-request queso to the trial menu, are part of the chain's initiative to rebound after E. coli and norovirus outbreaks were linked to the chain in 2015, according to the CDC.
