Drug Dealer Punches, Robs Off-Duty Police Officer After Asking if He Wants to Buy Pot
An off-duty officer was punched in the face and had a gun pointed at him after being petitioned to buy marijuana, according to the NYPD.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — One drug dealer picked the wrong person to offer his wares to.
An off-duty police officer was walking through Greenwich Village at 4:10 a.m. on Thursday near LaGuardia Place and Bleecker Street when he was approached by a man asking if he wanted to buy marijuana, police said.
According to police, the off-duty officer immediately identified himself as a cop. The suspect responded by knocking the officer's food out of his hand and punching him in the face, police said. The suspect took off on foot and was chased by the officer.

The suspect then stopped and pointed what appeared to be a gun at the officer, saying "What up now?" The officer dropped his money on the ground and the suspect fled the location, police said.
The suspect is still at large.
