Greenwich Village COVID Rate Drops Under 1 Percent: A Breakdown

More than half of Greenwich Village residents are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to data from the city.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — The COVID-19 positive rate within the four ZIP codes that contain a section of Greenwich Village, including the West Village, is now under 1 percent as the neighborhood vaccination rate continues to trend upward.

Over 50 percent of Greenwich Village residents are now fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, according to the latest data from the city.

It is a vaccination milestone that corresponds with another recent trend that saw the COVID-19 rate in the four ZIP codes that make up Greenwich Village fall under 1 percent.

The most recent Greenwich Village COVID-19 seven-day average rate is just 0.78 percent, which is almost exactly aligned with Manhattan's latest seven-day average of 0.75 percent.

10011 (Chelsea/Greenwich Village)

  • 0.58 percent COVID-19 rate, 1,888 people tested, 11 new cases
  • 68 percent of residents have gotten the first dose, 57 percent are fully vaccinated

10014 (West Village)

  • 0.96 percent COVID-19 rate, 1,038 people tested, 10 new cases
  • 68 percent of residents have gotten the first dose, 56 percent are fully vaccinated

10012 (Greenwich Village/SoHo)

  • 0.72 percent COVID-19 rate, 1,252 people tested, 9 new cases
  • 62 percent of residents have gotten the first dose, 56 percent are fully vaccinated

10003 (Greenwich Village/East Village)

  • 0.89 percent COVID-19 rate, 3,718 people tested, 33 new cases
  • 63 percent of residents have gotten the first dose, 52 percent are fully vaccinated

In total, 65 percent of Greenwich Village residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and 54 percent of residents have received their first shot.
