Greenwich Village ZIP Codes All Under 3 Percent COVID Rate: Data

The most recent seven-day average COVID-19 positive rates in Greenwich Village are far below the citywide average.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — Since the city began tracking COVID-19 rates by ZIP code, Greenwich Village has consistently registered near the very lowest seven-day positive rates in the five boroughs.

While COVID-19 positive rates have been trending downwards both across the city and state, New York City's seven-day average positivity rate as of Monday was still 7.31 percent.

Here's how that figure compares to the most recent seven-day positivity averages in the three ZIP codes that make up Greenwich Village.

  • 10014 (Hudson Square/West Village): 2.16 percent positive, 1,663 people tested, 36 new cases.
  • 10012 (Greenwich Village/SoHo): 2.42 percent positive, 1,654 people tested, 40 new cases.
  • 10003 (East Village/Greenwich Village): 1.83 percent positive, 4,710 people tested, 86 new cases.

Overall, Greenwich Village's most recent seven-day COVID-19 positive average is 2.56 percent.

Manhattan has the lowest positive rates of the five boroughs. However, there are neighborhoods in the borough higher than the citywide average, including two ZIP codes in Washington Heights and Inwood, and one in Chinatown.

Greenwich Village is also one of the few places in the city with a lower seven-day COVID-19 positive rate than in New York State, which was 2.99 percent as of Sunday. It's the first time that figure has dropped under 3 percent since late November.
