Man Lit American Flag On Fire In The West Village, Police Say
A man walked up to the front gate of a commercial storefront and lit an American flag on fire, cops said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Cops are searching for a man who lit an American flag on fire in front of a locksmith shop in the West Village, police said.
The man walked up to Greenwich Locksmiths at 56 Seventh Ave. South about 9:40 p.m. Friday and lit an American flag on fire that was hanging on the closed gate, police said.
It went up in flames and the man fled off with a white bicycle, police said.

Surveillance footage shows him wearing a maroon shirt, black pants, white sneakers and glasses with a bicycle.
