Man's Face Broken In Unprovoked West Village Attack: NYPD

A 59-year-old man was left with multiple fractures to the left side of his face after getting attacked in the West Village, police said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A 59-year-old man was attacked for no apparent reason as he walked down a West Village street in late April, according to police. The NYPD released a photo Tuesday night of a man wanted in connection to the unprovoked beat down.

Just before 6 p.m. on April 23, the 59-year-old walked down 149 Christopher Street when a man charged him and hit him in the face with an unknown object, according to police. The victim was left with multiple broken bones on the left side of his face, and took himself to Lennox Health Greenwich Village, police said.

The attacker fled westbound on Christopher Street, according to police.
