Michelin Names 5 West Village Eateries As Best Cheap Eats In NYC

The culinary inspectors will release their prestigious stars on Thursday, but they just announced the best affordable 2021 NYC eateries.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Five restaurants in the West Village just received recognition from the top culinary review organization in the world. On Tuesday, the 2021 NYC Michelin Bib Gourmands was released, which is a guide to the 131 best affordable dining options in New York City and Westchester.

The renowned anonymous inspectors will release their more well-known starred selections Thursday.

The restaurants on the "cheap eats" list are all joints where the Michelin inspectors can order a full meal for under $40. The distinction is "awarded to excellent restaurants where the food is very good and at a very reasonable price."

Out of the 131 New York restaurants that made the coveted list — five of them are in the West Village.
