New Restaurant Red Paper Clip Opens In The West Village

Red Paper Clip opened in the West Village this month.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A new restaurant called Red Paper Clip opened in the West Village this month.

The new eatery, located at 120 Christopher St. at Bedford Street, "seasonal American cuisine influenced by the different cultures of NYC," the restaurant says on its Instagram.

Chefs Kevin Chen, of Flushing, Queens, and Tashi Gyamtso, of the Himalayas, are teaming up for the new West Village restaurant after working together at Blue Hill restaurant at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, New York, according to Red Paper Clip's website.

Eater reports the duo will merge flavors inspired by Chen's Chinese background and Gyamtso's Tibetan background into their dishes. The duo started as dishwashers and busboys before working their way to being top chefs, Eater wrote.

The restaurant's hours are Monday through Thursday, 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. and Friday through Saturday, 5 to 11 p.m.
