NYPD Looking For Suspect In String Of West Village Robberies
In one of the robberies, the unidentified man hid within a local restaurant until it closed and stole two tablets after everyone had left.
WEST VILLAGE, NY — The New York City Police Department is looking for a man wanted in connection to three recent robberies in the West Village. Police released details Tuesday night about the string of robberies that took place from June 2 to 11.
In the first incident, the unidentified man entered a restaurant at 101 7th Avenue during business hours on June 2. He hid within the establishment until after it closed and all the employees had left, according to NYPD. The man then came out of hiding and stole two tablets before fleeing the restaurant, police added.
A little over a week later, on June 10, the unidentified man entered a residential building near Carmine Street and Bedford Street around 4 a.m. by prying open the front door and stealing multiple packages from the lobby police.

Police released a photo Tuesday night of the man wanted in connection to the West Village robberies.
