Students are planning to meet outside the school's Kimmel Center for University Life, 60 Washington Square S, and to march to a nearby building where the university's president, Andrew Hamilton, is scheduled to host a town hall, according to the event's organizers.
"Join us on the Kimmel stairs as we rally in support of our most vulnerable community members and spread awareness about President Hamilton’s deliberate choice to not declare NYU as a Sanctuary Campus," organizers wrote on the event's Facebook page.
