Over $10K in Apple Products Stolen from West Village UPS Warehouse, Police Say

Boxes containing iPhone 7s were swiped from the massive UPS facility on Houston sometime in the past month, according to the NYPD.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Shipping packages containing about $10,900 in Apple and Samsung products were snatched from the UPS factory warehouse at 315 W. Houston St., according to the New York City Police Department (NYPD).

The packages were all accounted for when they arrived at the facility, but were somehow stolen before UPS could deliver them to their intended destinations, police said.

The theft could have occurred between Oct. 17 and Nov. 16, and was reported to police on Thursday, Nov. 17.

Inside the stolen boxes were 13 Apple iPhone 7s, valued at $700 apiece; two Samsung smartphones, valued at $600 each; and two Apple TVs, valued at $300 each, according to the report. Police do not have a description of a suspect, but said there is video surveillance at the facility.
