UNION SQUARE, MANHATTAN — A person was hit by a train Tuesday afternoon at Union Square, the MTA said.

Transit officials warned straphangers around 3:45 p.m. that L trains would be delayed in both directions after someone was hit by a train at the 14th Street-Union Square station, according to MTA tweets.

FDNY officials said around 4 p.m. that the person had refused medical attention. Emergency responders had been called to 14th Street and Fourth Avenue for an "unknown injury," a spokesperson said.
