Pricey Pomeranian Puppy Stolen From West Village Pet Store: NYPD

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A smiling man stole a pricey Pomeranian puppy this week from a West Village pet store, police announced on Friday.

At 3:42 p.m. on Tuesday, a man walked into a CITIPUPS pet store at 45 Christopher Street in the West Village and began perusing puppies on display, according to police.

He eventually entered a restricted area of the store and pilfered a Pomeranian puppy valued at $3,495 from its cage, police reported.

Video of the theft provided by the NYPD shows the man playfully interacting with the Pomeranian, before scooping the puppy out of the cage, and casually walking out of the store with the dog and a smile on his face.
