Pro Hockey Players Arrested For Assault In The Village: Reports

Sonny Milano and A.J. Greer were arrested in Greenwich Village, according to reports.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — Two professional hockey players were arrested after a fight in Greenwich Village, according to reports.

Sonny Milano, of Massapequa, New York who played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and A.J. Greer, a Colorado Avalanche player, were arrested after a fight over a bill from a nightclub in the Meatpacking District, the New York Post reported.

Milano and Greer were arrested 6:30 a.m. Sunday for beating up a 28-year-old man who was left with jaw and rib pain as well as neck and bicep injuries, according to the Post.

The fight was reportedly over a bill at the 1 Oak nightclub, which turned out to be hundreds of dollars more than expected, the Post reported. The two were in an apartment on West Houston Street near Sullivan Street in Greenwich Village when the fight broke out.

The Blue Jackets said in a statement it is reviewing the situation, and the Avalanche's spokesperson told CNN, "We will wait until the end of the investigation to comment."
