Three Teens Charged In January West Village Robbery, Assault

Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a robbery and assault that took place in mid-January in the West Village.

WEST VILLAGE, NY – Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a robbery and assault that took place in mid-January in the West Village.

On Jan. 19 around 10 p.m., a 40-year-old woman was walking on West 10 Street talking on her cell phone when three people approached her from behind and hit her on the back of the head with a glass bottle, according to to the NYPD.

The suspects took an iPhone 11-Pro from the woman before running away, police said.

The woman suffered a minor injury to her head but refused medical attention.

On Thursday, police announced they had made three arrests in connection with the robbery.

A 14-year-old female was arrested and charged with robbery, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana.

A 15-year-old female was arrested and charged with robbery.

A 16-year-old female was arrested and charged with robbery.
