Village Presser To Call For Restoration Of C And F Train Service
Elected officials are joining union workers on Tuesday to call on the MTA to restore the two train lines back to pre-pandemic levels.
GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — Multiple prominent elected officials are taking part in a news conference on Tuesday in Greenwich Village to call for the full restoration of C and F train services.
The politicians will be standing alongside workers from the Transit Workers Union, who recently filed a lawsuit against the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to restore the service on the two lines to pre-pandemic levels.
The lawsuit came after the MTA moved to make permanent the service cuts to the two lines initially made last summer, which "many fear could lead to an increase in crowdedness on platforms, and greater difficulty maintaining social distance."
