West Village Has 3 Of The Best Eateries For Christmas Day
Three restaurants in the West Village were featured on Eater NY's list of best eateries to visit for a Christmas Day meal.
WEST VILLAGE, NY — Christmas is just around the corner, and the holiday in 2020 won't look like most years.
There are families canceling plans, younger generations repeating instructions to grandparents for setting up Zoom calls, and many more people planning to eat alone or in smaller groups this Christmas.
With the fewer number of people gathering together with loved ones, more New Yorkers will count on local restaurants to supply their Christmas meal.

"If you haven't decked out your home with a tree, wreaths, and lights, chances are ordering takeout or delivery from a city restaurant might feel more celebratory," Eater wrote in the article for the list.
Three restaurants in the West Village made the list.
Bao Tea House: 140 West 4th Street
Steamed and baked bao buns might be the perfect dish to warm you up this Christmas, and Bao Tea House offers some of the best fried chicken and barbecue pork-stuffed steam buns in the city. The variety of tea options also make any cold day better.
Pinch Chinese: 177 Prince Street
The Lower Manhattan Chinese spot is offering a Christmas Dinner Package for pickup that comes with either its signature Short Rib 'Hong Shao' or Peking Duck as the main course. The meal also comes with a non-alcoholic drink and side dishes like soup dumplings and pepper calamari — the meal costs $88.
Houseman: 508 Greenwich Street
The Greenwich Village eatery is offering two takeout specials for dining at home this Christmas. One is called the "holiday party to go," which includes candied nuts, deviled eggs, and Swedish meatballs for two to four people. The second is a little more extensive, a seven-course dinner including your choice of braised short ribs or glazed ham.
