WEST VILLAGE, NY — The West Village was named New York City's best neighborhood for summertime fun with loads of outdoor eateries and plenty of Citi Bike stations, a report from RentHop says.

RentHop compiled a data of various aspects that "make a summer day awesome, and not-so-awesome," the rental search website said.

Based on RentHop's scoring chart, West Village slid in at number one in the city for summer fun, the report said.

The company pulled together how many Citi Bike stations, outdoor cafes and rooftop bars, barbecue grills and parks were in each neighborhood in New York City. The website even included how many 311 complaints about dog poop had been filed in the city.

The West Village, which received a score of 100, has 153 sidewalk cafes per square mile and even rooftop bars per square mile, RentHop said. The neighborhood also has 30 Citi Bike stations per square mile.

RentHop also looked into which neighborhoods ranked the highest for summertime fun based on specific data points.

For instance, barbecue areas were not the Village's strong suit despite the neighborhood's number one spot. RentHop found Windsor Terrace in Brooklyn had 16 per square mile, more than double the neighborhood with the second most barbecue areas per square mile, Prospect Lefferts Gardens/Wingate.

Midtown had the most rooftops per square mile. The top five were all in Manhattan, except for Williamsburg in Brooklyn.

Manhattan's Downtown neighborhoods in the West and East Village, SoHo, Tribeca and Little Italy were in the top three for most sidewalk cafes — with between 120 and more than 150 per square mile.

Three Bronx neighborhoods had the most dog poop complaints by 311, with Norwood, Queens in fourth and Yorkville, Manhattan in fifth.

Here's the top 10 neighborhoods for summer fun, according to RentHop:
