Alan Adamson, Retired Suffolk County Police Officer, Dies At 76
The grandfather of two was also a longtime member of the North Babylon Fire Department.
Alan Henry Adamson Sr., of West Islip, passed away on May 9, 2018. He was 76.
Adamson was a retired Suffolk County Police Officer, 1st Precinct, as well as a longtime member of the North Babylon Fire Company.
He lived a full life of service and was able to see his four sons follow in his footsteps and grow into men of the same caliber.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol as well as his children; Alan Jr. (Susan), Brian (Monica), Christian (Diane) and David Adamson.
In addition, Adamson is survived by his grandchildren Melanie and Dylan Adamson.

A visitation was held on Saturday and Sunday at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home. A funeral mass was held Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in West Islip.
Burial took place at the North Babylon Cemetery.
