WEST ISLIP, NY ? A Long Island contestant on NBC's "The Voice" was eliminated on Tuesday night's episode, after performing in the live Top 20 finals.

Bella DeNapoli, 22, of West Islip, impressed the judges by singing Gwen Stefani's "Sweet Escape" in Monday night's episode, but failed to receive enough viewer votes to move forward in the competition.

Contestants who received the two highest viewer votes from every team automatically advanced to the next stage. Each judge then selected one contestant to move forward. The remaining artists then competed for the 13th "Wild Card" spot.

Holly Forbes and father-son duo Jim and Sasha Allen garnered the two highest votes from Team Ariana, advancing to the Top 13. Ariana Grande then chose Ryleigh Plank to continue forward.

DeNapoli sang Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man" to fight for the Wild Card spot. However, 14-year-old Hailey Mia of Team Kelly ultimately won the 13th spot, via viewer vote.

Grande took to Instagram on Wednesday, sharing a picture of DeNapoli holding a gifted bouquet.

"i love you more than words," Grande wrote over the picture. "i cannot wait to know and support you always."

DeNapoli made a huge first impression on the judges during her blind auditions, singing her own arrangement of Danity Kane's "Damaged." Three out of the four judges hit the buzzer for her, but she ultimately chose to join Grande's team.

During her Battle Rounds episode, DeNapoli was given a second chance to participate in the competition after losing against teammate Katie Rae Mortimer. Although DeNapoli's coach Grande chose Mortimer as the winner, she then used her "save" option to allow DeNapoli to continue in the competition. The Voice judges are allowed to save one contestant during both the Battle Rounds and Knockouts.

She then went on to perform against Katherine Ann Mohler in the Knockout rounds, wowing the judges with Sia's "Chandelier".

DeNapoli spoke with Patch about her musical journey, admitting she had auditioned for the competition a total of seven times ? and explaining that the experiences she'd had, growing up in her hometown, had meant everything throughout her journey.

"I could not ask for a better support system. The school district has been so, so phenomenal," she told Patch about West Islip. "Without the music department, I would not be where I am (today)."
