Each morning, staff and students heard inspirational messages and quotes that reflected understanding, compassion, kindness and acceptance for all individuals. Students created blue signs with empowering messages and pictures, entered coloring contests, guessed the number of blue M&M’s in a jar and competed in a Fact vs. Fiction scavenger hunt around the building designed to educate students and staff on what is currently known about autism.
