During art class, students listened to the Linda Kranz books “Only One You” and “You Be You” for inspiration, then brainstormed how they would paint and create their own unique “fish” on a rock. The students also learned to work with acrylic paints. The young artists designed colorful and contrasting patterns and shapes to celebrate their own individual creativity and uniqueness. Once the rocks were completed, the students were brought outside to place their creations in the Bellew rock garden.
“Our students were very excited to take part in this tradition,” said Principal Rhonda Pratt.
