Board Of Ed Appoints New Assistant Superintendent
Dr. Anne Rullan will replace Bernadette Burns as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction in August.
West Islip schools will soon welcome a new administrator.
The West Islip Board of Education approved the appointment of Dr. Anne Rullan as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction at its monthly meeting on Thursday.
Effective August 1, Rullan will replace Bernadette Burns, who will take over as Superintendent following current Superintendent Richard Simon's retirement.
Rullan comes to West Islip from the Three Village School District where she served as Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction K through 12. Previously, she held positions as an elementary school principal in Three Village and Westhampton Beach.
Rullan teaches as an adjunct Assistant Professor of Educational Administration, Leadership and Technology at Dowling College.
