Brownstones Coffee Opens in West Islip

WEST ISLIP, NY - Brownstones Coffee, a popular breakfast and lunch spot, recently announced that its new West Islip restaurant is now open.

The company announced the opening of the restaurant on 306 Union Boulevard on its Facebook page Tuesday afternoon.

Currently, Brownstones only has one Long Island location in Amityville, which opened in 2002.

"We are looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces," a post on the Brownstones Coffee Facebook page reads. "Give yourself some extra time, we are just as busy as Amityville."

Brownstones announced last year that it will be opening a second location in East Northport. However, on Tuesday Brownstones announced that the opening will be delayed until 2017 due to "unforeseen construction issues."

In addition, a location in Ramsey, New Jersey will be opening soon, according to the Brownstones website.

In August 2015, the Amityville spot on 55 Merrick Road shut down due to a fire.
