Crime Report: Gas Siphoning Reported, DWI Arrest

Arrests

• On November 16, Krystle Merola, of Bay Shore, was arrested in West Islip and charged with DWI.

• On November 14, a West Islip man was arrested in West Islip and charged with second degree harassment.

• On November 13, a West Islip man was arrested in West Islip and charged with assault in the third degree with intent to cause physical injury.

Incidents

• On November 14, there was a report of assault on Union Boulevard. According to police, a 48-year-old victim suffered a head laceration.

• On November 14, there was a report of grand larceny on Kennedy Lane.

• On November 16, there was a report of burglary on Washington Avenue. According to police, a laptop and money were stolen.

• On November 16, there was a report of grand larceny on Wagstaff Lane. According to police, items from a vehicle were taken. There was also possible gas siphoned from the vehicle.
