South shore eateries will be served up dishes from some of the finest restaurants for a low price of $27.95 during the annual Long Island Restaurant week, which will take place from Sunday, Nov. 3 through Sunday, Nov. 10.

Over 150 restaurants are participating. Included in the prix fixe menu prices is a three-course meal every night with the exception of Saturdays when prix fixe dinners will only be served until 7 p.m.

Restaurant week found its beginnings on the east end in 2003 and was organized by East End public relations firm WordHampton.  The promotion's marketing success prompted an annual Long Island week of affordable meals from top chefs at some of the most expensive restaurants.
