Fitzpatrick Elected to State Assembly
The incumbent candidate beat out challenger Richard Macellaro.
Republican Michael Fitzpatrick has been re-elected to the State Assembly.
Fitzpatrick defeated Democrat Richard Macellaro in the race for the 8th District seat, according to unofficial results from the Suffolk Board of Elections.
With all districts reporting, Fitzpatrick won by a margin of 40,373-17,445.
