Winner Declared in NY 9th Assembly District Race

Challenger Michael LiPetri (R), beat out incumbent Christine Pellegrino (D).

LONG ISLAND, NY - Long Island residents got the chance to vote for the representative of New York's Ninth Assembly District this Election Day.

Incumbent Christine Pellegrino (D) lost the race to challenger by Michael LiPetri (R), according to the unofficial results.

With 108 out of 109 of the precincts reporting, LiPetri received a total of 27,014 votes while Pellegrino received 20,515 votes.
