Good Sam Makes Holidays a Bit Brighter for Local Needy Families

Nineteen families helped by gift collection effort.

Good Samaritan Hospital’s Mission and Ministry Committee held its second annual “Adopt a Family” Christmas gift drive benefitting patients and families of the Martin Luther King, Jr., Community Health Center (MLK) in Wyandanch. The MLK social work department identified 19 families which were adopted by 15 Good Samaritan Hospital departments.

“I am overwhelmed by the generosity displayed by the multitude of gifts collected,” said Mark Boehrer, Good Samaritan Hospital Vice President of Human Resources. “This certainly represents the true meaning of Christmas.”
