Islip Animal Shelter Hosts Dog Wash Fundraiser and Adopt-a-Pet Drive

On Saturday, June 21, the Islip Town Animal Shelter and Adopt-a-Pet Center will hold its annual Dog Wash Fundraiser from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. 

For a $10 donation, volunteers will wash, rinse and towel dry Fido, and there will also be over 120 animals up for adoption, a dozen local vendors, basket raffles and a 50/50 raffle.

Sponsored by volunteer nonprofit organizations Live.Love.Bark Dog Rescue Inc. and Unchained New York, all proceeds will be put toward the care and comfort of the Shelter’s animals.

The Dog Wash will be held at 210 South Denver Ave. in Bay Shore. In case of rain, the fundraiser will be rescheduled for Saturday, June 28 at 11 a.m.
