LI-Based Specialty Grocer Takes Over Former CVS In West Islip
Southdown Marketplace's second location is now open for business.
WEST ISLIP, NY — A new specialty grocer has officially opened up in West Islip. Southdown Marketplace's second location is now open 460 Montauk Highway. The Long Island-based specialty grocer has previously only had one location on 205 Wall Street in Huntington.
The owners attempted to open a second store once before on Fort Salonga Road in Northport, but it shut down in 2019, Newsday reports.
The new business in West Islip took over the former CVS which shut down in 2015.

The store is open from everyday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with special hours between 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. for seniors and at-risk customers.
