The forecast for this weekend on Long Island is splendid.
"A sprawling area of high pressure sitting over the Northeast will help to bring plenty of sunshine and keep the rain away for Father's Day weekend," according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Thompson.

Low humidity, warm air and abundant sunshine will set the stage for one of the nicest weekends in recent weeks, AccuWeather says.

Saturday- Sunny, with a high near 78. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
Saturday Night- Mostly clear, with a low around 59. South wind 3 to 8 mph.
Sunday- Sunny, with a high near 81. South wind 5 to 11 mph.
Sunday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. South wind 6 to 11 mph becoming light after midnight.
