Man Critically Injured After Crashing Car Into Guardrail

The 23-year-old was critically injured after the overturn crash early Friday.

WEST ISLIP, NY - A man was critically injured after crashing his car into a guardrail in West Islip early Friday, according to Suffolk Police.

The 23-year-old man was driving a 2016 Honda Accord eastbound on the Sunrise Highway Service Road, between West 3rd Street and West 4th Street, when the car left the roadway, struck the guardrail and overturned at 12:35 a.m.

The man, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip in critical condition.
