Long Island will soon have another brewery. Do you plan on checking out Secatogue Brewery?

WEST ISLIP, NY - The highly anticipated new brewery in West Islip will officially be opening next month.
Secatogue Brewery, located on 375 Union Boulevard, is set to open its doors on May 3.
The business was started by West Islip natives, Ken and Katie Srubinski.

The local couple came up with the plan to open the business after Ken had been home brewing his own beer for the past 5 years.
"This was the next step, I really wanted to open a brewery and we were really lucky to find a building in our hometown in a great location with plenty of space, so we're really looking forward to contributing to the local craft brewery community and the local West Islip community," Ken told Patch in November.

Secatogue will most likely lean more towards the hoppier beers or lighter IPAs to go along with the "beach town" feel of West Islip.
The Pink Hibiscus IPA, which actually comes out pink, is already expected to be a fan favorite.
The brewery has a total of 10 taps so Ken says he plans to have at least 4 "core beers" available all the time with the other 6 beers constantly changing.
