St. John's Students Dance At Carnegie Hall

Long Island students perform at the Performing Arts Educators 12th Annual Invitational at Carnegie Hall.

From St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School: St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School’s (SJB) Dance Company performed at the Performing Arts Educators 12th Annual Invitational at Carnegie Hall. Under the direction of Mrs. Renee Sussman, SJB’s Dance Director, the students performed two contemporary dance pieces that showed off their technical ability as well as their artistic talents.

The performers comprised of students from 9th– 12th grades including; Sarah Bast, Kaitlyn Califano, Emilie Chiofalo, Lauren Corrigan, Kathryn Dobkowski, Victoria Dushaj, Amber Epp, Olivia Galante, Emily Garcia, Julian Georgiadis, Ann Henderson, Briana Ledan, Victoria Maiolo, Ave Moncayo, Julianna Panzella, Gia Piazza, Lauren Ragen, Danielle Ranallo, Isabella Sangiorgi, Isabella Scarmack, Destany Shepard and McKenna Tyson.

Ms. Sussman, shared her thoughts, “ I am incredibly proud of all the dancers for their hard work and creativity. Performing at Carnegie Hall is an experience they will never forget”. The Dance Company is one component of the large dance arts program that St. John the Baptist offers.
