Town Of Islip Restaurants Taking Part In LI Restaurant Week

LONG ISLAND, NY - Restaurant week will be returning to Long Island starting this weekend.

During the event, several participating restaurants will offer a three-course prix fixe for $27.95 every day from April 22 - April 29, except for Saturday when the menu may only be offered until 7 p.m.

The tradition got its start on the East End in 2003 and was organized by East Hampton-based public relations firm WordHampton.

Success out east prompted the creation of the Long Island-wide promotion, offering affordable meals from top chefs at some of the most expensive restaurants across the region.

Here are the participating restaurants within the Town of Islip:

• Captain Bill's - 122 Ocean Avenue, Bay Shore
• Fatfish Wine Bar & Bistro - 28 Cottage Avenue, Bay Shore
• Nicky's Clam Bar - 99 Maple Avenue, Bay Shore
• Nicky's on the Bay - 150 S Clinton Avenue, Bay Shore
• Salt & Barrel - 61 W Main Street, Bay Shore
• The LakeHouse - 135 Maple Avenue, Bay Shore
• Whalers - 124 Maple Avenue, Bay Shore
• Irish Coffee Pub - 131 Carleton Avenue, East Islip
• Strip Steak - 60 River Road, Great River
• H20 Seafood and Sushi - 166 W Main Street, East Islip
• Blue Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar - 24-526 Main Street, Islip
• Verace - 599 Main Street, Islip
• Snapper Inn - 500 Shore Drive, Oakdale
• View Restaurant - 3 Consuelo Place, Oakdale
