Trevor Bovich and Ryan Wieczorek had four goals each for West Islip as the Lions rolled past Hauppauge 13-9 on Wednesday at West Islip High School.
The Eagles jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead early in the first quarter, but the Lions roared back outscoring Hauppauge 7-1 for the remainder of the first half to take a 7-3 lead to halftime.
West Islip showed glimpses of previous years successes by coming out strong in the third quarter, scoring five goals to take command of the game.
Next week, the schedule gets tougher for West Islip (6-1, 7-2) as the Lions will face rivals Smithtown West (away April 23) and Ward Melville (home April 29).
