
WEST ISLIP, NY - West Islip High School sophomore swimmer Jackie Triglia won the county title in the 100-yard butterfly at the Section XI championships, swimming the event in 56.84, breaking a team record of 59.42.
She also won All-League honors in both the 200-yard individual medley and 200-yard medley relay.
On Nov. 16 and 17, Triglia represented Section XI at the NYSPHSAA state championship at Ithaca College, earning All-State honors as she placed fourth in the 100-yard butterfly.

“Jackie has had an amazing season,” said Tim Horan, West Islip’s director of health, physical education, athletics, recreation, and family and consumer science. “The coaches, the team and Jackie’s family are all looking forward to enjoying her continued success for the next two years at West Islip High School.”
