Oswego State junior makes first squad after collecting a team-high five goals.

West Islip’s Nicole Perniciaro, a member of the Oswego State women’s soccer team, earned a spot on the first-team All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) squad.
Perniciaro started all 18 games she played in, scoring a team-high five goals on the season. The junior forward/midfielder tied for the most points on the team with 12. Her aggressive play was a key for Oswego, as she led the team in shots (40) and shots on goal (24). Perniciaro also recorded the assist on the game-winning goal in sixth-seeded Oswego’s 2-1 quarterfinal victory over No. 3 Geneseo in the SUNYAC playoffs.
The women’s soccer squad concluded its regular season with an 8-8-1 record, while going 1-1 in the conference championships. The SUNYAC playoff victory was the first ever in program history.
