WI LAX Camp's Goal Remains Player Growth
Varsity coaches Scott Craig and Bill Turri again team for annual camp.
For 27 years, Scott Craig and Bill Turri have been focused on training the future of West Islip Lacrosse with their annual summer Lacrosse Camp.
Held this year at the high school and library fields, week one of the two week camp attracted about 125 local youngsters from third grade to seventh grade. Participants receive instruction from local coaches, current West Islip High School players and former Lions that have gone on to play college ball.
Craig spoke with Patch about this year's camp, and the type of instruction offered to the kids, some of whom could one day play for the coach on the varsity team.
