UPDATE: Hundreds Still Without Power in Putnam, Northeast Westchester

5:15PM: New York State Electric and Gas still shows customers without power in northeast Westchester and Putnam counties.

But the number is down to 148 in Putnam -- some of those new today, including the 47 in Southeast -- and 223 in Westchester, most of those in Pound Ridge. NYSEG is not providing an estimated restoration time for most of the outages.

The strong, gusty winds overnight left more than a thousand people without power in northeast Westchester and Putnam counties.

The region is under a Wind Advisory till noon.

According to the utility's outage map, NYSEG is still assessing the problems; there are no estimated restoration times.
