Speeding Leads To Arrest For Driving Without License: Police
The 19-year-old Bronx resident was arrested after a traffic stop, police said.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Bronx man was accused of driving without a license after being stopped for speeding.
The Yorktown Police Department said, around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, an officer on patrol on Route 202 said she saw a car traveling above the speed limit and without a tail light.
A traffic stop was initiated and Johnny Castillo, 19, of the Bronx, was identified as the driver, police said.

A computer check at the scene found that the defendant's driving privilege in New York was suspended for failure to answer a summons.
Castillo was arrested and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and speed in zone, no stop lamp and operating in violation of restrictions, all traffic infractions.

After being processed, he was released on his own recognizance.
Castillo is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court July 27.
